A+E Networks needed a new brand positioning to unite programming and brand marketing. We began to ask ‘What’s the story?’, keeping in mind that in a multi-screen, hyper-connected world, the ‘story’ could carry far beyond linear broadcast into other expressions and platforms. 

’LIFE, MAGNIFIED’ became the master brand positioning for the overall A+E Network, providing a new perspective for creating and strategizing purpose-driven programming. Not only does this master positioning provide a tool to reassess the shows that may no longer reflect each channel’s values, they also provide a new platform to discuss the shows that do. In short, it’s about finding the human stories in the wider cultural narrative—and how each affects the other.
